I am currently studying Music at the University of Birmingham, UK as of October 2018. Music has been a large part of my life since joining my local church choir in Hertfordshire, with whom I have been singing with for over 10 years. It was there where I developed musicality in a professional environment, whilst at the same time developing my appreciation for the art of music. After starting as a chorister and pianist, I have transitioned primarily into composition, yet I still play piano and organ as an accompanist, and have sung in various other choirs.
Compositional successes have included writing two choral pieces for the national ‘Music For Youth’ competition in 2016, earning me a 'Young Composer's' award after conducting these pieces in Birmingham Town Hall. I was a also a winner for the annual Royal Opera House fanfare competition where my fanfare based on opera themes was recorded by the orchestra of the Royal Opera House, conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano, and subsequently played during mainstage events during the 2017/18 season.
